         Plan your program carefully before you procure your pass. Flexipass holders could save money and days by purchasing singe tickets for short period  trips. Such as, say you’ve bought a Eurail Italy Pass, valid for 7 days of travel within a 2-month. At the price $252 for the second-class pass,  average cost per day is $36. Instead of wasting your travel day on a trip from Florence to Pisa — which costs $17 — you can buy a separate ticket for the trip and you could save the travel day with your rail pass by a night train or with longer journey.

         Make sure to validated your rail pass when you begin to use it at the  railway ticket office just before boarding on a train. Make sure you don’t  write anything on the pass before validation; the ticket agent should  write this for you. You may do the validation for  the ticket onboard, but you have  to pay for extra fee.

         With your rail pass you are allowed  to board any train, but it doesn’t  guarantee you any seat, couchette or sleeper dock. In addition, high-speed trains may need a supplement. If you are not sure, ask your  ticket agent before you get on the train.

         Eurail Flexi Pass owner must write that day’s date of travel in ink before get on  the train. For a night train leaving after 7 p.m., write the date for the next day; in this case you  only have to use 1 of your ticket travel days. However, if you board another  train before midnight, you have to use two days.

          You may be asked to give your rail pass and passport to the conductor during boarding a night train. The conductor  will manage of dealing with the customs officials for your side  as you go through each country during the route.

        Before you travel ,you should  aware of your train route. If you travel through any country that is not recorded on the rail pass, you must  pay for the full amount  for that part of the trip. You may buy this in advance if not you should get a fine; just talk to the ticket agent about your destination and they will issue a ticket that cover the full journey.

       For your safety precaution you should purchase pass insurance, if you lost it you can have a refund.
